We are the ones who knock. On the Blue Door. Who’s there? Wings.

THE STORY
Blazing hot wings arrived at our table in little more than five minutes after we put in our order. Abnormally fast service can sometimes be cause for concern, but after taking a taste we confidently chalked it up to the Blue Door just making things look easy. Fans of the Blue Door can confirm: This pub delivers the goods as promised.
Our first impressions were fantastic: Fresh, high quality wings, with a fantastic flavor. Heavy on the vinegar, more tangy than hot, but satisfying and an all around great wing. As the experience continued, we started to notice some inconsistency in texture: While some of them were crisp, others were a tad soggy.
Our server, Rick, was the perfect mix of attentive but laid back. The price was so right ($10 for 1.5 lbs.), and the whole basket (standard sauce, fresh carrots and celery, and an abundance of dipping sauce) was on point. All in all, this is a contender, especially with a bit more time in the fryer.

Notes: Blue door wings, much like everything else on the menu, are on point. From the sauce that burns deliciously to the crispy skin to the consistently great meat, I found little to criticize. |
